Public relations is non-personal communication which changes opinion or achieves coverage in a mass medium, which is not paid for by the source. (David Gilbert- Retail Marketing Management)
Gilbert then goes on to say that the coverage should incude space given to a press release or favourable editorial comment. It is because of this the lion king musical website has a section on awards and perhaps more importantly reviews from newspapers with relatively high readership figures.
"Pure delight floods the Lyceum Theatre."
Paul Taylor, The Independent

"This is a wonderful, wonderful musical: thrilling, warm-hearted, inventive and original. 'The Lion King' will touch a deep chord in everybody."
John Peter, Sunday Times

"My jaw hit my knees... Is 'The Lion King' as good as they say it is? - Dammit Yes!"
Robert Gore-Langton, The Express

The list goes on all more or less the same thing just worded slightlty differently depended on the newspaper and its readership. The reviews from broadway are much the same only slightly over the top being american but positive all the same. However, lets be honest, I doubt Disney, the creators of the lion king musical are going to put bad reviews on its website even through there may not be that many.
Heres a short american review
"It's like being in a dream awake."

How cheesy is that! It also sounds alot like a line from the film In Bruges but worse
